I have over 30 years experience in graphics and publishing both in the UK and Australasia. I began my career in advertising and design consultancy work and before moving into design and art direction in the thriving world of magazine publishing in the mid 80’s. Since then I have worked across a wide range of magazine titles aimed at different audiences. I worked as an art editor for London based companies including Future Publishing in both London and Bath, Bauer Publishing, IPC Media, Home & Law Highbury House Communications, and HHL Publishing. My work involved loads of design for print and typography as well as art direction, directing and styling photo shoots, and project management.
Now self-employed, I am focusing on creative art based on historical architecture in Napier, New Zealand where I live. Photography and it’s related software are my main creative tools.
